Jarrod + Brittney
13 October 2017
A stunning location paired with a beautiful modern setting for both ceremony and reception AND a gorgeous couple – this wedding was truly what dreams are made of.
We were so incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the Country’s leading event vendors to pull together what was a truly epic wedding for Brittney + Jarrod.
We worked alongside Brittney + Jarrod to bring to life their vision for their wedding, a vision that was something really special. From receiving the invitation through to walking into the reception, the goal was to create ‘wow’ at every point – a boy did we do just that!
The ceremony and reception was set at the picturesque Forget Me Not Farm in the Byron Bay Hinterland, one of the most beautiful wedding locations we have stepped foot onto. The big homestead overlooks perfectly manicured gardens with views of the rolling hills in the distance – breathtaking.
The ceremony was set on lawns on the homestead side of the pond which is located in the centre of the property, this provided a really lovely backdrop for the ceremony.
Brittney + Jarrod wed under a stunning large arbour made by Brittney’s very talented brother Matt. The French Petal’s flower arrangements took it to the next level. Guests were seated on Hampton Event Hire’s gold soho wire chairs.
The clear perspex welcome sign designed and made by Sketch and Etch and styled with flowers from The French Petal was a simple but stylish welcome as guests arrived at the ceremony location.
After the ceremony guests were served refreshing cocktails in customised Kayter co coconuts, a really fun and personal touch to lead into the pre-drinks portion of the afternoon.
An outdoor bar was set up in the separate chapel area with Hampton Event Hire’s Soho gold and white wire furniture and bar. Canapés were served as guests enjoyed their refreshments sitting on the beautiful lawns overlooking the property as they listened to live music.
The afternoon quickly turned into evening and before we knew it guests were moving over to the Reception area…
Ahhh the reception, the pièce de résistance! Set in Excel Hire’s large clear marquee with their whitewash timber floor, this insanely awesome reception set up was really something!
3 rows of long timber tables ran down the centre of the marquee leading to the bridal table backed by the remarkable scenes of the hills. Hampton Event Hire’s gold SoHo chairs lined the tables (a decorative feature in themselves.) The Sketch and etch Perspex table numbers were a subtle but effective touch positioned on the end of each table.
Each setting had a personalised gold powdered laser cut name created made by Sketch and Etch Creative sitting on a simple white napkin perfectly placed on a white plate paired with gold cutlery to tie in the gold chairs.
The French Petal’s gorgeous vases of flowers that ran down the centre tied in all of the styling elements on the table and drew your eyes up to look at the amazing floral installations hanging above the tables alongside AVIdea’s gorgeous gold light pendants sitting just below the ceiling of warm white fairy lights installed by AVIdeas.
Along the edges and at the entrance to the marquee were an abundance of stunning indoor plants from Northern Rivers Plant Hire to tie in the crisp fresh feel this wedding exuded.
The bar positioned at the back was brought to life with Sketch and Etch’s customised white laser cut ‘Brittney & Jarrod’ sign hanging on Hampton Event Hire’s Soho wire screen with pops of green leaves styled by The French Petal.
This wedding was something really special and an event that we thank Britt and Jarrod for letting us be a part of. None of it could have been possible without the man power, expertise and talent of Byron Bay Weddings, we will forever be grateful that we had the opportunity to work with a company whose work really speaks for itself. Having been Britt + Jarrod’s Canberra based Event Manager, Byron Bay Weddings were the ones to really pull the big stuff together for us up in Byron Bay.
A wedding that was truly a highlight for us and has equipped us with so much more knowledge and skills to bring to our future events to ensure they are as spectacular as this one was.
